Abstract

Hinduism upholds the values ​​of balance and harmonization of human relationships with God (parhyangan), with other human beings (pawongan), and with the environment (palemahan). These values ​​are overwhelmingly present in geguritan. One of the geguritan that contains the moral teachings is geguritan Dharma Sunyata.

The moral teaching embodied in Geguritan Dharma Sunyata is begun by explaining an acarya explaining that one who wants to learn the truth based on a silent mind must first reinforce the basis of behavior in the form of ethics or deontology. The essence of ethical teaching lies in the teachings of the Tri Kaya Parisudha. Related to the compassion that should be developed by mankind, in geguritan Dharma Sunyata there is also a love affection not only for fellow human beings but also affection to all living creatures.
