Mengembangkan Literasi Informasi Siswa Sekolah Dasar Melalui Pembelajaran IPA
Abstract
The rapid progress of information technology has made the world enter an era of openness. It also shifts the paradigm of the Indonesian people from industrial society and information society. In this era of information society, the problems that often appear are hoaxes which give various negative impacts. To eradicate these hoaxes, an ability which is called information literacy is needed. The development of information literacy should be done since the child enter elementary school considering that many elementary students have been able to access information freely through various sources. The process of developing information literacy can be done through science learning because in the learning process there is an information searching activities as part of the scientific method. The strategy that can be used is by various methods such as lecturing, discussions and brainstorming. In order to run the development of information literacy optimally, the role of schools and teachers is needed. The role of the school is to provide infrastructure and arrange an information literacy program meanwhile the teacher's role is as a guide and a role model.
