Abstract

Learning is something that is planned systematically include the interaction of teachers and students, and occurring berkesinamungan from the past until now, in the course of a long learning process changes occur that impact on erosion of character values ​​in children / nation, consciously or unconsciously for change -change in the learning system that impressed getting away from the values ​​/ character of a nation that emerged discourses education without character. To correct the weaknesses of the present study is expected to reflect on the past to rebuild the character values ​​in children that accumulates in the learning process of the past. However, a phenomenon some elements of past learning as forming the character / values ​​of the culture of a nation, the learning process is now becoming obsolete. The learning approach the past is approaching a holistic learning approach that develop all the potential of the students, only the union as a whole between intellectual intelligence / IQ, EQ / EQ and Spiritual Intelligence / SQ may be implicated in the formation of character fully and holistically. Likewise, holistic learning process with all forms of development can lead to the formation of character, children can search for its identity, called self-actualization. So the learning out of education come to exist, according to the personality of the nation and the development of science and technology.
