PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER DAN KEBUTUHAN PASRAMAN FORMAL

Abstract

This article is written with the approach of the literature review about the character education and formal Pasraman. In much of the literatures, including the views of experts, character education and its transformation in learning are so complex, especially when faced with the question of how these ideals can be educated holistically. For that reason, this article only generally describes what is character education. Probes for character education in the Hindu was also associated only with characters inspired by some of the characters in the epic. In another word,it is done merely to focus and simplify to understand. Finally, this article came to the conclusion how character education can be organized through Formal Pasraman even other religious education. In the Formal Pasraman, the learning base is the spirit of teacher-student relationship, collective living in a dorm, as well as materials based on the value of ethics, morality and manners will be implemented. Another significant thing is the active involvement and participation of parents and communities in the implementation of Formal Pasraman. Interpedence of all components like this necessitates the birth of Hindu human who has a religious character, extensive knowledge, good moral.
