MEMBANGUN GENERASI EMAS INDONESIA MELALUI PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER (Membangun Karakter Mulia Perspektif Hindu)

Abstract

Character education is important and essential to a nation. Indonesia make character education as one of the national education program since 2011. The character education in several countries have been given priority since the beginning of primary education. But in Indonesia, character education is still seen as a discourse and have become an integrated part in formal education. Concepts of excellence of character education indeed has been stated since ancient times and became a very important discussion in the Vedic texts. This paper provides an overview of how to build a golden generation of Indonesia through character education which were examined in the perspective of Vedas.
